My '70 C/10 - The Rat Bastard... [Won't Idle.]

Nice! those old qjet guys are hard to find. :waytogo:

Sounds like a good deal to me! The kit plus a float is 60 bucks.:thumb:

To be fair, I kinda yucked it up with him a bit, before ever even mentioning the job. :thumb:

As soon as I told him the Carb and Application, he was all over it. :haha:
I think he just wants to tune it, and ride in it.
Ill prolly let him test drive it, too.

Need:

- Fuel Pump.
- Fuel Filter.
- Oil filter.
- (more) Tranny Fluid.
- Plug Wires.
- Plugs.

ALWAYS REPEAT ALWAYS yuk it up with old timers that do that sorta work. Its a dying and rare breed, and any info you can gather or absorb will help in the future. I learned how to set a rear end backlash with a set of pocket matches and lipstick. And its just as good as a dial caliper.

I agree. The guy that built my beasty 700r4 did it for $500 out the door. And the thing is awesome!!! You cant find anybody around here to do that.

Sad thing is he will prolly be dead by the time I need another :doah:

Come stay at my house Oct 4th and hang out the next day till around 5PM. More than enough rooms, porches, bathrooms, kitchen floors, front or back yards to sleep in. I have tried and enjoyed them all. Plus the lady will probably even cover you up, well unless you sleep in the driveway with your pants half off, she really frowns upon that. I would bet your tranny will change its mind. Because Im thinking my th400 is going to decide it no longer wants to be a part of my truck anymore.

If you drive like me you might want to get another built and sealed up for when it inevitably pops. For that price, I wouldn't be able to say no

Meh... I'm used to it, at this point.
"Universal", means: 'always needs to be modified'.... I get that. :deal:

It's the "Bolt-On" parts, that need modifying, that get under my gawdamn skin.. :weapon9:

At least I've gotten good at hiding my mod's, and NOT screwing up the parts 'finish'.

Agreed. :thumb:

It's funny.
Them guys are all work and no BS;
But, no matter how busy they are, they always have time to talk Classics/Performance/etc. :pimp:
