My '70 C/10 - The Rat Bastard... [Won't Idle.]

bed piece? :crazy::whistle::D

and I'm looking very forward to the 70 build. I love the dropped first gen c10s. But I'm in the crowd that runs 18s front 20s rear with very clean stock body :D

I tried to find a piece that was good.
Couldn't find one.

Apparently the PO bought a new Floor Pan,
and just glued it on top of the old, rusted out floor pan. :doah:
So, the pan looked like a 10... On top.

But was really rusted-out from the bottom, and about 2-3mm thick.

I was pissed, to say the least.

Omfg....

Cleaned the Backyard out yesterday.
Fabbed/welded feet to Veronica's truck Toolbox; Then installed it, today.
Still have to install her air regulator, for her OBA's aux. output.
Then, weld the new exhaust hangers on her truck....

After that, I can start working on the C10...

I feel like I was allowed to own the C10, only so she could make me finish all her truck projects.
 :deal: :haha:

Finally got a couple hours to mess With the C/10... :D

All this came out of the cab...

The ol new floorpan over the old one. Classic. I admit to possibly doing that myself a time or two, and possibly be doing it again to a Jeep in a few days. :haha: And getting a new lifetime warranty starter out of it possibly.

I did this to mine when I first got it. Still
Hasn't rotted back through yet so ill leave it alone. I was scared to see how bad it was underneith. So I band aided it and left it. Sucks now
That I know some better metalworking skills but back
Then it seemed te easiest way. Nice to see the truck is gettin some love now. Thise stock ralleys are gonna look nice.

Too bad that the grill was hammered. It looks like the price has gone up a little since I bought mine with the lettering.

Beyond stupid pricing...:doah:

I'm thinking it's a GM part -- LMC sometimes sells them, and my experience is that they charge through the nose for these. You note the letter-less one is, while still spendy, 1/3 the price, so it's gotta be a third-party repro.

For that, I'd go to the dealer and see if they can get it.

Yea, the lettered ones are NOS parts and the stock is getting smaller and so the price has been going up a lot the last few years. GM didn't license out the repro grills so they can't put the lettering on them.
