My '70 C/10 - The Rat Bastard... [Won't Idle.]

Can't believe The Beast is gone..........

It was one of the threads I checked regularly for a long time.
Was it really that bad, or were you just ready for a "lane change"..:D

Nice to see---there is another cool project taking up your time.:woot:

It was too far gone.
There was just too much wrong with it.

I wasn't about to drop another 5-7K into it, just to have half a buggy with a camper shell.
Sh*t, think about this:

Since The Beast was laid to rest:
- 1970Worthog has the 208/front D-line for his S10-SAS.
- NorCal_Chris is now on 3/4Ton Chevy running gear, and 37's.
- Deuling is about to save a lot of $$$ on a CV rear D-Line.
- K5CJ5 now has a ~60k mile rebuilt 350tbi, for his newer-style Suburban.
- Imiceman44 has a good cond. roof for a project he's doing.....

And, a few other parts are in a few other places. :D
I still have my doubler in the works, and saved The Beast's fenders, for the future buggy.

I've also got REALLY into rebuilding transmissions, lately.
It's what's keeping us afloat.... But, the Tundra's getting beat up doing it. :doah:

The latter fact does NOT please the wife.
Which unsettles the foundation that is my existence.
And, I'm not too big a fan of shaky ground.

How's the tundra getting beat up rebuilding trannies?

Its not just the Trannies.
I also use it for general truck stuff...

The bed liner is getting chunked up, the tailgate is dented, the bed-floor is dented,
One of the tie down locations ripped straight out of the threads, etc.

My wife also complains about me "taking over" her truck...
Which, admittedly, I have to a certain degree...

Very cool that it lives on in so many other rigs!!!

Gotta keep Moma happy!!!:waytogo:

I hear ya! on that note, look at all the time I spend on the PW for Kelly.:eek1:

It does pay off though.....:whistle::woot:

Yep....

I'm shocked at how the phrase, "Spend whatever you need to", can make a woman happy.:dunno:
Cuz, as a dude, that's my first instinct.... "Spend what you need to.... SQUIRELL!" :haha:

I didn't see my name on the parts list.:deal:

The spirit of the BEAST lies within the stinger Tiki.

I saw a few pristine C-10 grills recently. That truck is super sick bro! I like it.:waytogo:

How much?

I'll pay for one+shipping...
Can't find a 70-72, locally.
Looking for a driver fender,too... Has to be 70-72.

And, thanks... Wait till you see it done.

So....

I ordered the HP-Books "Big Block Chevy Rebuild Guide."

And, the Pro Comp "HP, Complete Overhaul gasket kit"....

And, an EZ-Wiring "21 circuit" complete harness... :gremlins:
*cough* ~Power Windows and Door Locks~ *cough*
77325e8e03c7a6973f5ddb9c3baafcfe.jpg

And, all the parts to rebuild my Q-Jet.... :D

Beyond that, and Ignition parts, I've ordered all I can to this point.

I need to take the motor apart to see what I'm dealing with.
And, until I decide what to do there, I can't tackle fuel, or anything else.

I'm waiting for Dans-Dad to find the Body Bushing kit he has, so I can pull the cab/bed.
