My '70 C/10 - The Rat Bastard... [Won't Idle.]

Nope, the crewcab already has hydroboost and is done.

I want to do hydroboost on the other truck too.

<hijackoff> :haha:

Went and bought 4ga. cables.... Had no clue they were so cheap. :D
I guess 4ga. Is good to 6', with my system.

For $30, i got everything i needed!
Also, got a couple odds & ends from Pick-N-pull.

Stupid gawdamned fittings....

Every time i get the stupid fittings, I think i need, they're wrong.
Ive pretty much been "narrowing them down".
Thats whats been taking so long.

And, i havent really had much time for the back and forth. :doah:
Doing stupid odd-jobs, is getting old.

Ill call TranStar, right now.
Call you in a bit.

To Start the Motor:

- Trans cooler line plugs.
- Plug the rear vac port on the carb.
- Trim the Starter cable.
- Fuel line install.
- Fluids.
- pulleys/belts.

After that, its just double check the wiring, and start it.... :waytogo:

No no no. LESS vehicles, not the same number.

Correctly, it should be FEWER vehicles.... :doah:

I never understood the distinction between LESS and FEWER.... only very recently was it clarified for me.

LESS is for a single item (1 less truck, less time to complete my truck, etc)
FEWER is for multiple items (3 fewer trucks, fewer dayS to complete my truck, etc)

Hard to explain exactly, but I have been guilty most of my life for using "LESS" too often to describe situations where "FEWER" was actually the correct term. :dunno:

......and before anyone accuses me of being a grammar-Nazi, my objective is only to help people who actually CARE about proper word usage. Personally, I get embarrassed when I find out that I am using words incorrectly. Some people don't and that's fine too.

I am reminded of a funny line from the movie L.A. Story where Steve Martin is becoming tongue-tied while trying to impress a girl he likes as he explains why he would be a good person to interview:

"It's because of the clever word usements that I structure...."

Perhaps one of the clumsiest sentences ever. His delivery of that line cracks me up every time I see it.

Classic comedy... The kind you actually have to "get".

Im never disappointed when Greg posts something.
Threadjack, or not. :haha:

:doah: I knew this, too!

Ex-wife #2 always used to get me on this ... my bad. I chuckle at the (vast majority of) grocery stores whose express checkout lanes are "15 Items Or Less", and bow to those whose lanes say "15 Items Or Fewer."

Atssome point vernacular wins over grammar

Naw, I'm a word nerd.

Well in popular usage. Not saying its correct. Just as an offering of explanation. It's easier to conform to the lowest common denominator so that's who they appeal too. The wetards

Fwiw.... I bought plugs for all the stuff i dont have.
I put a freeze plug in the void where my speedo gear/cover should be.
Plugged the Trans cooler feeds, and spare Vac. Ports on the Carb.
Grounded all the things that needed grounding, too.

All thats left, is to double-check the wiring, add fluids,
and wait for my flake Brother-in-law to bend my fuel line....

Then she starts.
