nice lookin rig. that paint sure looks good in the pics for a slapped bandaid.

Mine is almost ready for paint and then im where you are. interior...yuk yuk yuk.

I have no idea what i want to do there.

keep it up the exterior looks fantastic.

thanks man do u have problems w/steering runin those 42"s. what kinda lift u runin all spring or do u have a body lift also. i got all spring 8" with 38"s, i had 39.5"s but just too big for turning and not much flex. hate to cut my fenders there still in allright shape. eventually i want to put 67 GMC pk/up fenders and hood. well ur truck is pretty F'n nice man. does ur interior look like mine.

no my interior looks worse. the only thing about my interior that is nice is i have a new tach dash with all new gages.

Im no longer running the 42's. i went to irok radials at 39.5. i have 8" skyjacker springs with a 3" body lift.

No probs with steering, i have cross steer as well as the c/j converted steer shaft. i get some frame flex when i turn wheels without moving but other than that pretty good control.

Yea, pretty nice. Post some more pictures.

my wife, and buddy who owns a paintshop got together and slapped a bandaid paint jod and surprised me with it. (somebody got some good lovins that night).

Hopefully you're wife got the good luvin's and not your buddy! :eek1:

Do you mind sharing some info on your c/j converted steering shaft?

hahaha bp71k5 my buddy just got a firm handshake and a 12pk he ended up using my left over paint.
71chevy4x4 i agree got to be honest dont know much about c/j shaft can u please explain more
here some more pics of mine this is the blazer that i traded for the jimmy. i bought off CraigsL 800 $s, the PO said it had a blown motor. the next wkend i was going to pull it out ( I already had a 350 from the red 63 chevy in pic). but before i started removing the motor i figured id try to start it for the hell of it, F**K am i glad i did. the knocking sound didnt sound like a rod and it idle ok. i crawled under the truck and the sound was the dust cover hitting the flywheel, i bent the cover back out and cut alittle peice off, the truck ran fine lucky me. sorry about long post, i wanted to share a craigslist story anybody else have a good CL story

Really dig the jimmy. I vote for bedliner if you plan on wheeling, Its nice to just jump in with the hose and spray all the mud and muck out and not worry about ruining $300 worth of carpet. Plus it wont stay wet and rust your sheetmetal. When it rains i just throw a couple lawn leaf bags over my front seats and walk away.

BTW what color is that gray? I got a 67' that is getting ready for a coat before too long

Line the interior with a lighter color (like tan) to break up the gray theme. Don't go overboard on the bright colored accents. Then give to me as a DD.

BTW, what is the yellow thing sticking out of the gauge cluster, and whats going on with the wiring bundled into the heater vent?

Think ya did pretty good!

The yellow part looks like an Autometer shift light with a yellow boot over the lamp.

No idea on that wiring, doesn't look "factory" though! :)

:usaflag:

yes greg72 is correct it is a boot, evenually i will get an orange one to match.
when im waiting for parts i like to do the stupid stuff like the dash panel and i also painted my shift knobs to keep me busy.
the wire hanging in the vent is left over. i put a painless harness in w/fuse block, and the kit came with power window/power antenna wire wich im obviously not using. i just havent done something about the left over wires yet. look at my knobs, this is how board i get waiting for parts.

Good looking Jimmy. I agree a nice bandaid paint job also.

Yep I like my lined interior, that reminds me I need to go wash out the inside after the last mud run.

Now drive that thing out to Moab for the bash and lets play!!!
