My 86 K5 build

Oh yeah baby.....it's freaking wheel-able again. Finished up all the wiring and put the dash back together and all the gauges are working again. The thing starts up and purrs now. Took a couple shots just to prove that it moves again :D

...and the TBI verdict is?

Martin

freaking fantastic. i can tell there is some power loss by ditching the 383, plus my recentered h1's are a lot heavier than my old rims, but in 4lo, it doesn't matter. to have the motor purr on angles makes it all worth it

So it was either the ECM and/or IAC that caused your trouble?

I would say more ecm than anything. It still isn't 100% perfect and a few small bugs need worked out, but overall it is now running good. I just drove it almost 30 miles from my dads place to my house today with no troubles at all, so i call that a victory :D

:waytogo:Now just to get my a$$ out to Co. this summer to meet up and do some wheeling. We'll just have to put stickers on the windows so we don't get the rigs mixed up:doah:

Haha, no joke. Maybe if you keep your white top on and I keep my black top on, we should be good. However, I anticipate that the top will be coming off very shortly :D

Finally had a chance to do a shakedown run to see what would happen after the TBI motor swap. Went to Illinois Gulch again (same place as some of my pics earlier in this thread). It's a great place to do a shakedown cause if something happens it's easy to get a rig out.

All in all, the rig did freaking great. It ran fantastic and never skipped a beat. Ran smooth and cool the entire time. The only issues I had was my gas gauge stopped working and I slightly pinched a break line (not too bad, still had fine brakes all day long).

Anyways, here a just a bunch of random pics for you. Nothing too crazy, but still a fun time with wife and kids

The wife and I with Pike's Peak in the background (sorta)

More. It was pretty freaking soupy cause we just got a bit of snow 2 days before. Made for a bit more of a challenge
