My bobbed Suburban hatchback build.

The doors do seal.

Do the doors seal? This is exactly what I was thinking about doing to my new burb.

By saving the lip for the door seals instead of cutting them off, the seal just goes back in place as if nothing was changed.
Lucky for me they were still in good shape and no rust to deal with.
Rockers were removed because the dents were into the doors.

Awesome, thanks. I just picked up a "new" burb to replace mine due to trail rash and rust. The new one has perfect rockers so I don't have to worry about the lips being rusted. I really like your slides and even showed them to my wife who is 5'2". Her first comment was about how that would make a nice step for her. How difficult was it to weld the square tube to the sheet metal? And did you put any brackets/gussets on the backside? Is it possible to get some picks of the backside?
Thanks!

Not braced yet

Kelly won't let me post pics of her backside:haha:

My plan was to tie the boards into the frame and tie the roll cage into those pieces, this weekend if time permits.
The 2 x 3 tube is such a good fit it could be left just like that with no braces and no problems.

I'll take some detailed pics and post shortly.

:dunno: Oh well ;-)
