Yeah, you usually have to filter through crap to get to good stuff, but such is life. When you give the general public a microphone (or a username on a forum site) you are usually going to get some crazy bull crap.

My brother and I want to get his semi towing his blazer next to my crew cab (when it's done hopefully in a few months) towing my blazer next to each other and take some pics. Might be a little too much awesome in one picture though...that could be dangerous :D

Unfortunate. I hate Pirate.

Martin

More people seem to be interested over on pirate than here, and since he has like 4 build threads going on at once, he doesn't really care to keep it up over here (and there doesn't seem to be much traffic going on in this section of ck5 either)

Oh I understand. I just don't like Pirate.

Also, this should be in the Driveway as far as I am concerned.

Your probably right. I've seen some builds of non chevy's in there lately, so why not an International too, haha

If he kept the pics on his photobucket, yes. But up until a month or so ago he started linking his pics on his thread on pirate. So I would have to save them to my computer and then upload them to my photobucket to get them on here....and I don't want his junk filling up my photobucket account :sign18:

Make a new photobucket account!

You have all the time in the world top appease us, I am sure.

That pic above is hosted on Pirate. All I did was copy and paste the URL between the IMG tags

So I finally installed a boost gauge and pyrometer on this truck.

After watching some youtube videos about adjusting the MW pump I cranked the pump up. Basically I unscrewed the low rpm/excess fuel adjustment screw several turns and turned in the star wheel a little, and turned the governor springs to the right 4 clicks.

Here is a video of it revving in neutral, smokes more, but cleans up when the turbo catches up.

So here is how I mounted my pyrometer. Gauge in the dash, with the probe just after the turbo. Most sources seem to say that post turbo egt reads range from 100-200* lower. I put it post turbo because that was the most accessible spot to drill and tap, and frankly I didn't want to take the turbo off. The probe is right after the turbo as pictured below. In that spot I am assuming my readings are closer to the 100* lower than the 200* lower.

So now after turning the pump up, my egt's are reaching 1000* wide open throttle while empty. Seems pretty high to me, especially considering it is probably more like 1100*+ preturbo. Most sources I have found say that 1300* preturbo is probably the best max to go by, so I worry about what they will be with a significant load.

Also my boost gauge is reading max 17lbs boost (at least that's as high as I could get it driving around last night) and it starts to come on at about 1500 rpms.

I will say that the power increase with messing with the pump was incredible! Man this thing rips now... it's like a freaking hot rod. But I worry I might have to tone down my fuel increase a little to manage egt's better.

What do you guys think?
