1976 crew cab longbed, 2wd, Its got some rust, says it has 60 pounds of oil pressure, but the torque converter on the th400 is bad? may be as simple as low on trans fluid, havent checked it out. has dual tanks and 4 tires that hold air. Buddies place is 30 minutes away, all together its about 3.5 hours out from me, hes already said "lets build it" cause i talked about all the trick stuff id love to do to one. He told me hes not too good at talking me out of a project lol.

Why do i want it? 500. the running 454 is worth that. Ive sorta always wanted to build a shortbed crew 4x4, and although my 83 is superbly nice, i can fit one buddy in there (buddy and my girl if she rides middle) and i could build the crew to be one nice driver/tow rig, haul my buddies around on Saturday night, use it for long hauls (id plan to build a removable extension to make the backseat essentially a bed).

454/th400/14bff for 500 is a steal, and he says best reasonable offer, 4 crisp 100 dollar bills may take it.

The body is junk. :eek1:

I wouldn't mess with it longer than the time it took to pull the 14b, and the engine/trans. Junk the rest. Rust=

yeah the price is right lol. Rust sucks. But it is a four door. and good 454. Im debating if i should wait to find a rust free crew. but i mean a good 454 if you could get it for 400 would be sweeeet.

Do you know for sure that 454 is good? If so, $400 for the 454/400/14b is worth it. You could prolly make half that back by scrapping the rest.

Around here that thing is in great shape!! We're primarily concerned with the firewall and main cab seams when looking for rust up here in the salt belt. As stated, you can't go wrong with $500!! also, check out SweetK30's build... crewcab, shortbed (or shorter), with good drivetrain and you have a sweet party wagon (as stated above).

That body is far from junk. It's not junk until the doors are falling off and the front seat is falling through the floor:wink1:

well F&*%^&%&~!

I was looking at it at about 3am just fine, and now the place where it was listed "updated" and changed all its listing formats, and ive tried searching and searching no luck :( And i forgot to write his number down last night.

If it sold, they got a steal.

Do you remember the area it was in? You can see what the stuff looks like in the background. Time for a drive!

Ya, its in russell, ks. its a good 3.5 hour drive, otherwise i would go check it out. Plus i got work in less than two hours. Ill keep my eyes open and see if its relisted, otherwise ill just save the money and buy a rust free one since i dont have a wirefeed for the rust repair yet.

Well, apparently your standards are different than mine. :eek1:

Yeah, around here you have to take what you can get, which is usually a doctored up basket case. Unless it's been restored, always plan on replacing fenders, rockers, floors, cab corners, and patch the bed:(
