My build-DOWN thread...

Shockingly it works perfect. I pulled it off recently and ran it through its travel and it moved smooth but with goodrresistance. I guess that's just the outer tube? And the piston is really tiny? I have it in my mind to replace it anyway.

Love the 5.3 swap and your other thread with the break down of costs is excellent. The old pic from sand lake, awesome stuff. You have great info and one day when I do my 6.0 swap, I'll be referencing your info. Keep it up. :thumb:

Thanks man! Learned a lot since them too! So of you have questions let me know and I'll do my best to help!

Well the burb has been running great. Put a couple hundred miles on it this weekend. Has a pretty good vibration from about 55 up. I'm thinking about getting them balanced on one of those road force machines.

Also I finally put a new stereo in it! The old one sucked! It would reset itself every week or two...

Thanks! Been a fun weekend cruisingit aaround! To top it off I put the third seat in today and brought me, the wife, two friends, and their two kids to a Portland Trail Blazers basketball game. It was fun and exciting to finally have the burb feel so useful and "lively". Still have way plenty to do, but it sure has come a long way!

Its pretty well set. I still need to get the steering more better as its still pretty wondery and springy. Thats the number one issue. Other than that, i need to get the tires road force balnced cause it vibrates pretty good over 55. Before i take it further than an hour or so away it needs new rear u joints and out pust shaft bushing in the t-case. As far as the motor and all that, its good to go. It runs really good and never has anything funky going on.

So lots of stuff still before its "done", but trips to the mountain/beach are pretty reasonable.

Me three! I have a few things not going my way as far as making blazer bash. One is that I'm really hell bent to get the 78 painted. Two is that we arebbuying a house right now and that's taking every ounce of my time and money. Three is that with the house and other life stuff I have been using a fair amount of my vacation time already. So we'll see how it goes but it's likely to be tough. Regardless, my wife for some reason really likes the burb and riding in it so we will take it on an increasing number of trips.

My to do list is as follows. You'll notice that there is not a ton to do, but a decent bit.

Steering braces
front Springs
sway bar bushings
Rear u joints
Rear output bushing
balance tires and get new ones if these won't balance
Front diff bearings
Front driveline
Fan clutxh
Radiator
Thermostat
Cruise
A/C

So mostly, lots of little stuff.

Sounds like details :haha:

My buddies have a cabin in the woods in the coast range outside of willamina. And it's neither. It's a 250. It's the wife's. Mine is the Rancher.
