This Was my original post here in 2006,

I always wanted to do a build up thread but I guess this will have to do for now :wink1: So let me paint the picture a little to try to show you that im not insane or anything like that. So my dad ordered my 90 burb brand new from the factory back when he was doing well for himself financially, picking exactly what options he did/didnt want. Its pretty well loaded. I think the only options he didnt get was the two tone paint and rear heat if i recall correctly. So anyways dad sorta gets into some trouble the burb gets towed dad has no money to make it his again so i rescue it. Shortly after i got it I lifted it, wheeled it, basically just treated it alot more ruff and neglectfully than he ever did. So this story is getting long, I'll finish up the rest of it later. on to some pics. First is with it all lifted and wheeled, second is half the burb back to stock, then just more random pics, motor progress, interior all cleaned up, etc etc.

Now, This is a thread documenting the continued progress on the burb.

Here is the Paint thread,

That interior is pretty clean!! Would be a shame to burry the thing up to the frame...

Don't worry the CK5 TECH JUNKIES will catch onto this thread soon...

Like I have :D

well i got the motor completely ready to pull tonight and also got the front shocks bolted up. The tires are flat on my chery picker so i'll have to save actually pulling it out till later. I dought i'll get to it tommorow. And on wednseday i have to start on a tranny swap job on my cousin's S-10. So that kinda sucks but at least it will help fund the project a little. More updates as they come.

ya its just gonna be stock.(i want to get it put back together before winter really hits) the only difference is it wont have 215k on it:D ofcoarse the "plan" is to get another 350 build it up into a tpi 383 to put in it but i'll burn that bridge when i get there. I still have a pretty big to do list/shoping list. Its actually still just sitting there with no u-bolts on it:eek1: So i think thats the next thing i need to get done. I'll keep ya posted.

why not just keep it with the lift on there? it looked really sweet...still does.

I just didnt like the way it rode/drove, Also it was sorta embarasing picking up a girl thats in a dress when she cant even get even get in without help...

thats what makes it great:p: :haha: i understand you though.

well i got aliitle bit done today. Got all new u-bolts, and got new tires on my engine hoist. So i put the u bolts on and was going to pull the engine but i can not get the F'ing oil cooler lines loose. Im actually going to have to take the sawzall to them tomorrow:eek1: Its riciulous. You would think that sence they have oil flowing through them at all times they would be the easyest. BUT NOOOO!!!! The motor is 100% ready to pull but i can becasue of those bastards. Any who heres a pic of the u-bolts, then a pic mid-Ubolt install then a pic of when i pushed it back to clean up the area under the truck. enjoy.

Keep it coming. Lifted or lowered, stock or modified, I love Chevy's. Have you considered building a 383, but keeping the TBI? You can make some really good power with it as long as you're willing to upgrade things a bit.
