Well i purchased a 6inch procomp lift for my truck, to replace the 2 inch tuff country lift. I took as many pics as i could. They were taking with my phone so not real good pics.

Here is the truck before the lift about 2 years ago. looks the same but with a couple scatchs now.

This is one of the damn prettiest K5's I've ever seen.

I'm normally anti-chrome on trucks, but against black (my fave color combo) this is just badass.

Makes me reconsider my plans...

Took 2 day cause i was havin a hard time trying to get the steering arm off. finnally gave up and am going to get the guys at the drive shaft shop to take it off when they extend my drive shaft. Now to got some new tires. Im thinkng of 36/12.5/15 TLS.

Woah, very clean truck. Don't see very many around here nearly that clean :o

I got a quick question. I just got done reading the instruction to putting the lift on (i know your spose to read them first) and it said to tighten the u-bolts to 55-65lbs and i tighten them to 125lbs. Is this going to cause premature failure?

Wow, you need some bigger meats on that thing now. That's a super clean K5. Nice truck.

My build thread of my 6inch lift! Update 9/24

Well i dropped my truck off this morning to get the driveshaft retubed and get my steering arm replaced. Well they said they couldnt retube the one i had cause it wasnt a stock drive shaft. So they said they could make me a new one for $285 new yokes and joints and all. They charged me $75  (which i think is high) to do the steering arm that i gave up on trying to replace myself, after 4-5 hours of beating on it. They finished it today but cant get it back untill weds. because I dont get off work before they close. So if I get a chance weds. ill order my 36/12.5/15 tls:bow: . If not ill have to wait untill next monday.

JD-
For my first post, I have to say that is one COOL K5!

Whose lift did you go with? I have a 6 inch Superlift on the way! Can't wait.

Be sure to post some pics of those new meats ASAP! I am thinking 36/12.50 TSLs or 36/13.50 Iroks myself.

I went with the Procomp 6inch lift. Front is 6inch springs. Rear is 4inch block and 2 inch add-leaf, but it more like 5inchs of lift for the back. I dont really like the way it sit cause its got saggy butt. In November I`m going to put in 3inch rear springs and use the 4inch block. Hopefully it will level it out or make the rear sit up alittle higher.

O I will. Hopefully I can order my tires this week, but I should have them by no later than next friday.

triple torque them ubolts!! 150+ft/lbs i have my procomp front springs and i like them, they actually flex allright.

First that is one clean K5
Second get rid of the blocks & get a shackle flip.
The old blocks were cracked, think about it ,could happen again.:doah:

I got procomp springs on my 83 in the front and they seem to flex pretty good, thats a sharp blaze

I want to get rid of the blocks, but if i get a shackle flip it will enterfear with my exhaust and i like the way it is now.

While you are investing in it, think about investing in a membership here which will make life much easier.;)

I know i've just been to lazy to send in the money.
