So I have been wanting to to a 56/52 spring swap on my blazer and have been looking for the 56's. Found these in a local pick and pull...

The springs came out of the back of a 3/4 ton Suburban and have 8 leafs total. I'm debating on tearing them apart and painting them or just throwing them in the truck for now to get the swap accomplished. Im also gonna run the full pack to help the springs last longer since I load the blazer with camping gear. Got the springs, u-bolts, and plates for just under $50... I know new u-bolts is ideal but I'm on a tight budget:dunno:

I wouldn't worry about tearing them apart to paint them, not like you're going to see in between each leaf, just clean them up some as is and spray the whole pack. It wears off soon anyways.

I have personally had springs removed and reinstalled several times in the past, reusing the same u-bolts, never had a problem with them, just go back a few days later and recheck the tightness of them.
