My consolidated 87 K5 build thread (Parked until July 2016)

How much travel are those shocks for? I'm curious the setup you have I plan on doing the same thing and wondering about clearances also.

FIRE!!! Ha No no don't do that. We have all been there before. Just need another beer or 2 an take a step back. Those shock mounts are sweet man! Looks good.

I had no slack available on the turn signal wiring, ended up busting one of the wires trying to get the harnes unhooked so I could pull this damn thing apart. It's goin to sit a couple days before i go back out there.
 
Do you have any pictures or information on your dual battery setup? I'm looking to possibly relocate my batteries. Thanks

The wiring kit and switch panel came from 12voltman.com

The battery trays are just stock from a diesel truck.
 
Decided to go ahead and tear up my carpet.....been doorless and roofless for almost two years now....so it was pretty nasty.







I picked a rubber bed mat from a F150 I'm going to cut for some floor mats for now, hopefully I'll get the doubler in this month and I'll spray the floor with something then.

Well, put the truck away for 3 years today. Thursday morning I'm on my way to Okinawa.

Bump, because I MAY get to rotate back to the states early.
 
As usual it going to hot, humid, and wet where I'm going.
 
It's official, I check into New Orleans in September. One less year on Okinawa than expected!!
 
Well, got down here. Blazer is still up north. Hopefully by Turkey Day I'll have it down here.
