Have been searching for a cheap dana 60 front since I bought the truck, over almost 3 years ago. Was too late calling a bunch of times, most were out of my price range. But today I finally found a chevy 90 d60 front that needs bearings and a pass spindle for $500. It comes with a ff14bolt:) (without gears and carrier) and a dana 60 rear. Don.t know excactly why this deal is so cheap but I'll find out tomorrow afternoon. The heaviest is the d60, is 3 guys enough to get it in the back of a truck or trailer without a lot of trouble?

A Dana 60 weighs about 600 pounds, Its not undoable with 3 strong guys but it will be focking miserable for sure. I'd recommend a cherry picker if at all possible.

Don't forget how tough it is to grab on to, the knuckles will try to rotate when you try to grab them.

Getting some kind of tire/wheel on there makes it WAY easier, again if it's just going in a pickup bed use an engine hoist for that too.

Make sure that the bearing caps are there and that they match the housing (i.e. the machine work looks like it lines up with what's there, I've seen D60's for sale that had missing caps or caps that didn't belong to the housing which means a fair amount of machine work at least).

I almost killed myself moving mine around by myself... Even with other guys helping, they can have a mind of their own and bite ya...

Drink the beer after all the heavy lifting is done...:D

Good advice, don't now if the guy selling has cherry picker, we'll see. Taking two guys with me and the guy selling makes 4. Might have some trouble with the three, unloading it at my storage in the dark. Good info, def look and make sure everything matches. Anything else I should look for, is there anything odd about a 90 SRW chevy? I saw the kingpins in the guys add, so I feel like I'm good to go.
