well will say $4000 with synthetic gear oil

my time is another story. :doah:

is this a bad thing in the end?

just chatin here and thinking wow did i spend a lot .

hmmm...I guess if you wheel it hard with big tires, you'll be putting that stuff in it sooner or later anyway.....might as well work on it once and be done.......for a while at least.

With already that much on the table you didn't want to spring for CTM's?

1410 yoke front = Bad ASS!!

Last - Not a bad thing at all! PICS will be needed to verify goodies, including start to completion of axle build-up. This I gotta see because I was thinking of going a similar route with mine.

I know some of the components, like crossover wouldn't be included, but i think its smart to look into buying an assembled axle from Dynatrac, boyce, or the like.

Gives you a good comparison price wise, and if the price isn't that far off, maybe you sell your 60 and buy an assembled one.

Almost makes a fully built Dynatrack Pro rock 60 seem not so un affordable now does it. There stronger then a Dana axle and higher clearence too. I know alot of people totally diss them but if I had deep pockets I would buy one and be done with it. The whole build process is a PITA. Yeah, I'm building my D60 too.

I called Boyce last week and they wanted $5000 for 60/14... 4.56 gears... detroit lockers in both...move the spring perches on the 14...aaaaaand.......thats it. You are way better off buidling your own stuff. I agree about the CTM joints....I mean whats another $400 :haha:

ya dont remind me

i know. i know.

Don't forget that with high steer and hydro assist you might want to look into plating your knuckles, high steer puts lots of leverage on the weakest part of the knuckle.

Sorry for the bad news on adding to your totals ;)

just tack another $700 on for some Dedenbears... :doah::eek1::crazy:

man, 4G's..i think i'm going to clean & paint my d60 and put it in..i'll fix stuff if i brake it. i don't have that kinda cash to spend all at once! i want to regear it, new seals & put 1 of those 3/8'' diff covers...and i need a steering arm spacer block..that should be $5-600

someone suggested ctm joints.

ok mabye. but cheepest i find right off the top of search is around 700 bucks.

who can do better ? ? ?

I would never consider CTM's as long as these exist.

Much cheaper, they have testing to prove that they're slightly stronger than CTM's, made in the USA and you can't have a better reputation than Longfield.

Yep, thats about how much I got in my d60. Haha what a waste of money.
