sweet, I like it. I think a 2wd stock height with a metal roof and barn doors would make an awesome dd.

No thats not factory. But it sure looks like a good job was done! Unless its the rarest of the rare one of one factory concept truck!

Turn out this is my friends baby sitter's truck so i might be able to get more pics of it!

Probably took alot of work to do and I respect that... But I hate barn doors on burbs. I think a tailgate wins every time, so to put one on a blazer.... = :doah:IMO.

Hate to tell you this but your opinion is quite wrong...

Jk, but the biggest thing I disslike about blazers is no barn door option.

Just my opinion. My dad had a 91 burb when i was younger. Said the only reason he got it was because it had the tailgate like his blazer. So I guess im a little biased :thumb:

And it is a very cool idea and im sure was not easy to do, but seems kinda rediculous on a rig that you can take the top off.... May as well put bondo on the topper seam because it would be rediculous to take it off with doors.

we used to talk about this extensively yrs ago in here.. i think it's way cool...

It's suburban jr. I'd rock it. I miss the barn doors. Way convienant for getting quick **** in and out.

I have both a burb with Barn doors and one with tailgate, the barn doors are nicer.
A tailgate has some pros, but the ease of opening a door getting what you need and shut it quick is not an option with a tailgate.
But having the tailgate as an extension is nice.

Not hating on barn doors i just dont like the looks of them personally. I like barn doors, on my vandura.... :waytogo:

No way it's factory. Would love to see what kind of work it took. Love it.

I always wanted to make my own mechanism for the rear window on my old burb. I had one drawn up, but never did it. If the window was faster and more reliable, The tailgate would be the best hands down. I cant stand my current barn doors. I like to roll down the windows and put the rear window down. Almost like having a convertable with a bikini top.

Once again just my opinion:thumb:

I can see the ease of access thing with barns, but I hate not being able to roll down the windows:confused:

No need, just find one of the custom jobs, like the conversion vans, they all have a window that opens in the back.

One that has transformed a Suburban from Barn doors, to tailgate with the removable Blazer top, I think the would be WAY easier than the other way around.

You would need to get the rear lower barn door tail pan from LMC, weld it in and then weld int the hinges and install the doors.

Not necessarily that easy, but the doors are the same angle as the tailgate and will seal with the back of the fiberglass.

With that said, I would like to see what it ACTUALLY took to make it work.
