My first K5

take to doors off, i like it. and heck yeah its fuggin hot. even with a functioning a/c it doesnt seem to work well in the large cabin of the k5. unless i was making over a 20 minute trip i wouldnt even bother with the a/c.

Ha, yeah that makes sense, maybe I can get a brand new compressor and dryer and it will blow really cold and cool me off in 10 minutes...

Ah Texas, I suppose it can get warm there.
It's in the low 80's here....I feel your pain:haha:
Nice K-5 though, are you gonna use it for trails or restore it ?
Anyway you go with it,this website is a great source of info.
You should throw down the $25.00 to be a member. Sure glad I did.

I figured I would fix it up and play in the mud and open areas. But nothing in the woods or somewhere I might smash up the body. Every one of my friends that has had a nice K5, has ruined it riding around in the tight trails. But I definitely don't want it to be just a pavement pounder.

that is a damn straight body. i keep telling myself to keep mine out of the rocks. but they just keep sayin, come on in the water is fiiiiiiiiiiine!
i forsee many dents and crunched rockers in the next few years.

Haha, yeah thats how the truck can go from nice to smashed up so fast. Once you make that first ugly dent, then you're at the bottom of a hill covered with big rocks or trees like, "Screw it, I'll try it"

Welcome, nice ride. I've had mine 23 yrs, danm baseball size hail did the most damage to mine yrs ago.
I really like that red color.

That is a nice truck. Congrats on the baby.
