Whel .about 6 months ago I thought itd be a GREAT idea in this economy to buy my beat up 75 for 1100. It took a few tries to find the right k5 .something without the floors being rusted thru.and eventually I found her! So that being said this is what im workin with. Truck came with are broke front axle. are rotten ass radiator , a blown out oil pan gasket, eighty's style suspension with 3 shocks in the back on each side, same in the front, but with home made fence iron and loop~ tee ~loos to hold the front shocks in place.and many other joys I keep finding out about alond the line. it does however run strong with a 350 motor th350 and 203¿ on unknown amount of lift ,38 inch tires , rotten headers, and really cool front and rear bumper, and this week aftermarket hood so far I replace the oil pan gasket , the radiator, and I've also acquired a whole new front clip for the truck, which I am working on now. I have a new axle it's going in soon and I got it for free from the beast 88 k 5<thanks >Chris and Mike. and so all I really have to do left is everything. all try to post pics up.thanks for looking!

Anyway, all of that is going bye bye.and a 14 bolt is going in.:waytogo: it's gonna be a hard road ahead

Stick with it. Mine was the same as yours when I bought it. It had 2 shocks per wheel, Go Rhino brush guard and bolt-on truss guards, Hickey diff cover. Getting a '75 or older was the best move so far:waytogo: concidering you live in CA.

Thanks man !havent owned the truck that long..... I was actually looking at an atlas the other day..... I was thinking instead of investing money in a bunch of~ flash~ >like 20 + cans of spray paint and a bunch of stickers :haha: Ill put the money into the suspention, where it counts.some rust repair...........for the rest
yeah its easy to sit back, and pick apart whats wrong with it,i could do the same....but havent heard anything on how I sld correct it.I know the 3 shocks arent good ,,,thanks for pointing it out?5 times.its fun to talk **** I guess. Should I throw a doubler in there to make it a ~real ~ build thread? Then what?:waytogo::thumb::haha:

Well If your going to swap out the axles anyways it will get rid of the 3 shock issue. Simply put one shock per side. I commented on it cause I have seen some rednecked trucks but nothing like 3 shocks per side. Hell I can barely afford 4 shocks let alone 8 shocks. :D
