My K5 Blazer just got stolen.

That one is $30/yr. And if it is not activated, geofencing alerts do not work.

Am I misinterpreting what this says? :dunno:
"The Smart Tracker can be activated at any time from the user account by choosing an activation plan. When the activation plan expires, the device goes inactive until the plan is reactivated. The eliminates on-going monthly fees and allows an easy pay-per-use tracking system. "

You have it right. I am only saying a real time alert is better. A lot of cars get stolen and stripped before 6am the next day. So sure, you could enable that one, but it may be waaaay too late. :( The geofence sends an alert right away which would allow you to call the cops and track it instantly.

I should add - I learned that a long time ago when I was researching the LoJack system. I talked to a cop buddy and he said it was hit or miss. If you had a great car, and lived in a LoJack coverage area, the crooks would do one of a few things when they stole your car:

> They would drive it somewhere and park it for a week. If no one showed up, they'd take it and strip it or whatever.

> They would take it and IMMEDIATELY strip it, often done before the next morning.

> They would drive it outside of a LoJack coverage area.

So the GPS option would be great, but you have to be quick or hope they are slow and stupid. Once they start stripping your car, they will probably find it and remove it or who knows what.

If Ferrari's can be stolen... Yer blazer can be stolen.
It's just that simple.

My Tundra has some Toyota GPS locator.
No idea what it's called, or if it even works.
But, I ain't depending on that thing to help me find my truck.

If you're stealing my Tundra.... You probably know what you're doing.
No amount of tracking/alarms will stop that.

But, a trainhorn connected to your O2 sensor, will keep yer Cat. Converter under yer truck...
:haha:

post up the other pictures man

also, any easy tells that a truck or part is yours? Like the shell for instance, has holes. Or the front bumper, has holes for the lights. Or the frame at one time or another had a patch done somewhere. I see 8 lug axles.
Lots of little details like the 2500 badge on the fenders and other unique things Tori did.
So this time Tori sold it before it's stolen.

Best anti theft system for a 4 wd, put the thing in neutral in the t case. It actually prevented a buddy old Ford from being stolen in Texas once.

Guy didn't know how to shift the t case put it in gear nothing then tried to shift it with the truck still in gear. LOUD noise, never caught the guy but it only cost him a broken window and a broken ignition

Just be sure you set your parking brake!!!

Lol parking brakes. What are those? That rusty thing that won't move??? :haha:

Press that pedal up here... And you will be ripping your brakes aprart trying to pry that $hit apart because it won't release lol

I use to padlock the brake and clutch pedal together on my Jeep, near impossible to get bolt cutters on it.

Back when I was in collage, my CB was mounted on the transmission hump in my car close to the dash.
There had been a rash of thefts of radios in my area, so I bought some treble hooks at the local tackle store.

Sharpened the points down until they were razor sharp, and much shorter between the point and the barb.
Meat did not have to go as far to get past the barb.

Screw mounted a couple behind the radio where they could not be seen, but where someone had to reach to disconnect it.
Also mounted a strap on the backside so that just removing the side screws would not let the radio slide forward.

Never had a problem myself, but two of my friends who I helped set up the same way had to remove blood stains from their carpet........

But they did not lose a radio.......

And one of them was able to trail the blood to a neighbor's apartment in the same wing he lived in.
I understand some words were exchanged, and the stealing in that area pretty much stopped......

Way back in 97 my new to me & very clean 90 k5 was stolen, found within 5 hours by CHP, winch gone, brush/grill winch mount guard gone, tailgate gone, both new batteries gone, stereo system gone, completely stripped the interior, including steering wheel & dash pad.
Everything was unbolted/unscrewed, not one wire was cut. ALL taken apart very carefully, like I said in less than 5 hours !
