My new K20 with Pics

This is a pic of what the truck has, So how would i know if i have a no spin in the rear? Says locked rear or could it be a gov lock or somthing like that.

Something is locking the rear...probably a gov-lock, but military and some civilian models were detroits (at least I was told).

Pop the cover and take a look.

Looks like you have a very nice truck!
 
A gov-lock has three pins in the carrier, a open or detroit will have four.

By looking at that build sheet, that truck came exceptionally equipped to work. With all of those options (454, 456:1's, aux. battery) I am willing to bet its a Detroit in he rear.

OK So that is a bad thing. Can i just weld it or would it be better to get a no spin? Can i use the same carrier?

If it's a Gov-Loc you WILL need an open (standard) carrier to install a detroit
