I just picked this up a few weeks ago.. i know its IFS and all but it was clean and has a nice drivetrain in it.. Maybe ill think about a SAS in the near future after my k5 is done..

Check the ProComp's main brackets. They were infamous for shifting around and loosing their alignment. The fix is to get them properly aligned and torqued down and then weld them together.

Is it geared? I don't think that small block is going to like those 37's too much...even with a stick...

Nice rig. Who cares if it's IFS. For a pavement pounder, that is all you need. You have the K5 to do all the HEAVY LIFTING.

but you would think that would have stopped in 92 when they got rid of the solid axle trucks all together ya know
I think they did. I've seen two '91 K2500 or larger IFS trucks that had the SM465 but nothing after that.
well they still had the K30 solid axle trucks in 91 but after that everything was IFS so i dunno would be a good google magic project. it could just be a freak lol with sh*tty gasmileage lol

Yea its got 4:10 gears and a locker in the back.. the trans is a 4 speed + granny actually... i didnt know if it was still a sm465 or not though because they only had a 3 speed +granny..
yeah its a Nv4500 i believe ........ damn i feel smart lol that sh!t dont happen to often lol
