Nice. Know a guy with a '89 that's deceptively stock but actually has a SAS.

Kill to find one in good condition for a decent price. All either rusted out and expensive or just expensive.

I finally found some fellow chevy guys that like yotas. I cant believe it:laugh:
I constantly get s#!t at work for having toys. My main love is 73-91 burbs or crewcab shortbox conversions. But my most capable 4x4 I've ever owned was a 90 4runner, stock with cheap M/T's on it. Since then I've had a 2008 double cab 4x4 tundra, and now I have a '11 camry. Shoulda kept the tundra:doah: sorry for the hijack and that is a sweet 4runner. Cant find em like that in Iowa:waytogo:

I have wanted one for awhile just never really fond one, once the Astro died was doing some thinking about the cost to put a V8 in it. Just a tranny and a set of headers almost equaled the price of the 4runer. So went with it :D

I had an 87, it was great. Got just about 20 mpg all the time.

But it was hard putting car seats in the back......and 3 kids were tight
Soooooooooo i parted it out, Need any parts...

lets see need a tilt wheel, a nicer back seat or a cover, a new switch for the dome light, a rear window switch it has a toggle switch now. Have to fix the rear key switch so it will roll down the back window. It doesn't have any carpet so got to figure out what I am doing there. If I can find a solid axle cheap and the mounts might just do a swap, once the burb is done.

I have several buddys with toys, will ask around and see what I can find for you, as far as carpet goes just get some new stuff I have never seen a toy of that generation with good enough carpet to consider pulling it out

nice, love the toyota's, a little on the small side, but pretty damn reliable. I use mine for DD duties as well.

I have been looking for a decent condition 4runner to use as the DD for a while now, and most are either way too spendy (and rusty), or just plain rotted and beat to death. I wouldn't mind a bit of rust, but when they are clearly beat to death and still asking 1500 for them, it just isn't worth it.

Yep your right....I just want an old rust free vehicle someday.
