Yobtaf posted up a link for some EMPI jeep style seats that were a pretty good deal. http://coloradok5.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2642687&postcount=1 Not sure what the outcome of his posting was but here's mine.

I purchased and received these seats in Grey. Although some comments indicate one size fits all, I'd say not really. I'm 6' 185lbs (thin) and their tight on me. However they fit my 8 year old like a glove, and my 5 year old loosely which is what I'd hopped for.

Recently I posted some comments about my stupid pipe bender so I'll stop that rant right now and continue this one. I cut what was left of the pipe I hadn't mangled and tonight I'll finish up the install.

Old seat: FOR Sale BTW.

New Seats with new Corbea seat belts. I'll get harnesses later when the kids are a little bigger and I have a better idea of the cage plans, and obvoulsy a bender or a wad of cash for Dr. Smash to design build one.

Hardware from DIY4X bolted to seats for measuring purposes:

Frame tack welded and squared up. Used a chop saw to fishmouth the 1" ID pipe with 30 degree cuts.

Temporarily mounted again to the seats:

nice...

interesting use of the panel mount tabs!

Sweet subframe Batman! haha:D Looking good! I just got the pair of gray buckets I ordered bolted in on Monday. Had a 4hr drive to Austin afterwards, and definitely more comfortable.

Done

Those look nice in the front and glad to hear their comfortable. My rear bench wasn't so nice.

Rear seats and Frame - Done!

A little recline to the position for comfort sake.

I like...a lot... :thumb:

I sold my rear seat, and honestly don't plan to install another bench, but I could see myself doing something like this.

I'd personally see if it were possible to mount the whole setup using the existing bench hardware and mounting points, just for the purpose of making it easily removable.

Regardless of whether or not I did that, I could see myself fabbing up a console to fit between those seats, even if it only served as a dual drink holder or something. Really anything to make rear passengers a little more comfy.

Either way...very nice work! :)
