My Tranny puked.

I was driving down the road earlier and all of a sudden smoke went everywhere. Got out and looked around and it turns out my th350 drove fluid up the dipstick and out on manifold. So my question is WHY? Filter clogged, vent clogged, bad torque converter.... ??? I drove the rest of the way home and it never done it after. ???

i have had that happen due to over filling and then another from overheating

The two times I've had this happen was from overheating. Not I have a tranny temp gauge and 2 coolers.

same thing happen to buddies tranny when it over heated.

if it ever comes out the dipstick, the vent is plugged.

yea that sounds right, couldn't tell if it was just the vent or tube but, the vent was definetly flowing. sounds like a clogged vent to me if it was just the tube flowing
