Someone explain AN fittings to me please.

was thinking or converting to AN fittings and found a nice fuel line kit, except i know nothing about AN fittings. what do the sizes coralate to? for example if i remember correctly the fuel line kit had two choices -4 and -6...how do i know which to get?

what sizes are they?

-4
-6
-8
-10
ect..

and is there anything particular i need to know in order to hook them up?

thanks

Just think of the AN number as being the first diget of a fraction and 16 being the second... ie: -6 = 6/16ths or 3/8"

The flares are 37 degrees instead of a standard 45.

yep -4 is basically 4/16s. Its not really the size but the amount the fitting flows in comparison to a normal fitting of the size. -4 Flows like a 4/16" line would. Had a whole lecture on fittings in class today

-4 seems VERY small for fuel line. I have -4 brake lines for the S10.
