I'm doing the long distance phone call with my wife and I hear "guess what I bought today"? I'm thinking a new car for herself but no, new wheels and tires for our 350,000 mile Suburban. Ok we've had an issue with a slow leak on one of the tires, I guess she was tired of it.

She's such a practical women, it almost brought a tear to my eye. Mind you the Sub has never been wrecked, but it isn't gentle on the eyes anymore. To quote a friend "You can't polish a turd"

First of all, snow?!? Texas?!?

My wife (at that time, girlfriend) picked out my tires for the Blazer. Yokahoma Mud diggers. Looked pretty nice but only lasted like 12,000 miles!! Pretty much junk but it did look cool.

She also "suggested" I need new rims on the Landcruiser we had just bought. I said they cost too much for tires and rims but she really pushed. Well, excellent suggestion! She picked out the rims and BFG's and it totally transformed the look of that rig. So, it's OK to let the wife in on those decisions.

Very cool that your wife did it on her own! Nice gal!

They were not, nor would they be my choice in style of wheel if I were buying new, these were on the truck when I got it here though. This Burb used to have black rally wheels with the chrome beauty ring and center cap, I thought it looked good like that.

Those are the ones. The fact that I have a 14 bolt 8 lug rear end to rebuild and install doesn't help the new wheels(6 lug)

The only thing my wife ever picked, for my truck, was a For Sale sign.

At least she wants you to sell it.
My wife keeps telling me if I don't get rid of my junk, she will call someone to come load a truck and haul it away.
My answer usually is, only if you never want to see me again.
So far she hasn't touched anything but she complains everyday.
She will buy me clothes, but never anything for the car or truck.
