nice version~just tell her you want to do it now before the tranny goes bad, that way you can sell the tranny and make a little money instead of having a broke tranny sitting around

not so nice version~ Go grab her purse, take your nuts out put them back on and tell her thats how it is:D :haha: j/k

UH she is pregnant with our son due in 5 weeks. Not gonna do anything to "Awaken that great giant":doah: . I am honestly suprised it took this many posts to get that answer:D

:p: :p:

Just trying to motivate you Ira...visualization is important. :haha:

It is long...I'd say 12" longer than a 465/205 combo. I don't have a 700/208 nearby to compare. This combo is all of 48" from the front of the bell to the center of the U-joint cups on the 205. Near as I can figure my rear driveline will be 34"-37" at rest. Front driveline might be an inch or two longer than the rear.

That is not much longer than a 700 208 combo I wanna say a 700 is 23" and the 208 is like 18-20 with the adapter. I am moving my rear axle back with 56s as far as I can and not hit the fuel tank and the front forward as much as I can get with leaves so hopefully Dshaft angle wont be an issue:D . I would love to find one that needed work and just fiddle with it as I got the funds like you did.

450 lbs I think. The NV is about 30-40 lbs more than the SM 465, plus the additional weight of the 203 range box and adaptors from NWF. Definitely not lightweight...

Guess I won t be lifting that in by myself:D

David: I forget you have the uncanny ability to find almost anything:D .

I about ruptured a testicle bringing the NV4500 downstairs...

Definitely going to employ an engine hoist when this goes under the truck. Going to have to diassemble it all to get it outside too. :doah:

And crawl ratio is like some of those multishock trucks. It makes up for areas where I am "lacking":D

Ira

So about like adding a second 14bff then?

Tell ya the truth, I'm not so sure what all the hullaballoo is about super low gears. I used to wheel a J**P with a stick non-granny 1st, no 4:1 low range kit in the dana 300 xfercase, 4.10s in the axles, and 35" MTRs...I did fine, even though people told me I was geared too high.

sell the 700, there are alot of people looking for 700's. Id say you could get atleast 400 bones for yours.

drain the tranny fluid and fly around a parking lot and jamm it in to revsered did it to a old civic but didnt relize there was no fluid in there
went to replace the tranny the tranny and it there was no drain plug on the bottom of it

he's got a kid on the way, keep the toys intact as long as possible. they may not get fixed for a long time....

I told my wife the other day that I was gonna put a NV4500 in the truck. I think I said a stick transmission so she would understand. Well long story short I cannot do it until the 700r4 breaks. It has ~180K on it and a huge cooler. It lived most of its life behind a stock 350 and followed by 3.08s and 31s. It now has 4.10s and 37s with the same weak ass 350. She then goes on to tell me that I can not purposely break it (she knows me well:D ) and she thinks it should last 250K more:eek1: . What can I do to get my NV4500 and doubler? I dont need it but who here really "needs" anything we do to our rigs:D .

That is all

Ira
I'm fighting the same kind of battle convincing the wife we need a Art Carr gate shifter in the K5. Good luck! :D

Congrats on the baby. We have our second son due in 5 weeks also. September 28th.
