Found this was unplugged today any ideas? Its the one I'm holding in the middle of the pic. Its coming from the back of the motor, 87 TBI 350.

It's a single pin female weatherpac by the coil on the drivers side.

Oxygen sensor matched that description. The pic is all blurry so it's hard to tell.

It can't be. In fact there is only one wire so it must be an 01 sensor wire.

What color is the wire? Purple wire is O2, Beige/light brown wire is the timing control.

Crap, i forgot about that. I think we have a winner here. I doubt the 02 sensor wire would reach from where he's holding it to where it needs to be but the EST wire is just to the right of where he's holding it.

I cant see the pic but I would have to guess its for the timing, being near the distributor and what not. I only have experience with TBI in my 89 3/4 ton, I dont know how much things changed between bodystyles, I would guess not much as this is a GM product and not a f**d.

As far as I know, no EST/ spout connector/ timing plug has ever been round... as this is.

If this is the timing plug would this prevent her from starting??????
Negative on the no start problem. The EST wire is unplugged to set the base timing at 0 degrees (engine obviously needs to be running for that). Then when you plug it back in the computer takes over the timing duties.
