It has spider gears and some beefy springs. No little gov lock gears inside. Not alot of info, any ideas? Pics will help.

Standared limited slip. There should also be some clutch packs behind the side gears. What diff is this? What year?

Regadless, The springs preload the clutch packs to (for example) 300 ft/lbs, past that, the axle shafts will slip past each other. They do wear-out, and the pre-load "loosens" up. But thats the genneral idea.

This is all about opinions, and this is mine. (if applicible)

Opps, not ft/lbs, it should have been, lbs per sq inch.
Edited by Twiztid on 08/09/01 10:30 PM.
