Trimming fenders with a plasma cutter will be like cutting warm butter /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif I'll prolly re-trim mine /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

for some reason i didn't find this post earlier. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
anyway, that's my rig that's posted up on the other post. if you have any questions please ask.

yeah, bowtie I got my idea after reading all your posts, and looking at you website pics, but I didnt want to take your whole idea,so I did the flatfender with the tapered fenders /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Ohh dude Im gonna rip yer whole idea off /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif well at least the front...my rear is allready narrowed...I wanna know how difficult it was to cut the core support then attach the fenders? did u just cut the part off the core support that bolts the fenders up and weld that to the rest of the core support? or did u just weld the fenders to the support?? if you can give me any info on it, I'd appreciate it a TON /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif right now Im pretty much just eyeballin how u cut yers...gonna try that then kinda figure it out as I go along...Im kinda thinkin it'll come together once I start /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

if you are looking for more ideas check out cornfeds suburban in one of the tech forums.
he completely got rid of his core support and made it real simple.
its one of the cleanest ones ive seen and I will be stealing his idea and hopefully I can get him to help /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
plus he is a local here so you can probably see it at browns camp on our next trip.

I was just going to runthe radiator up front with some tube, but I said hell with it,and cut the core support up.
I used 1 bolt for each fender had to cut a notch out on the fender and drill a hole.I decided it wouldnt be that strong with one bolt holding it on,if I took a direct hit to a rock,so I joined the fenders together with 2 big long pieces of threaded rod,on both sides of the radiator, plus 2 going from the core support to the firewall it works good, dosent look bad, plus you can hang wires and such from them. The hood was the hardest getting a straight line cut.
my sawzall is M.I.A so I used a cutoff wheel /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
it looks pretty good except for the fact it looks like ray charles cut it /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I updated my webshots account if yall wanna check out the flex pics I did yesterday /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
