Ummmmm

I just relized something, How the heck will i get back if i break something?? The gas will eat any of my saved funds..
Dont have a trailer to haul it up, And im bound to break SOMETHING with my 10 bolts, 3.73s and gov-lock on 35s. Not a chance in hell of getting better axels by then..

Dont suppose anyone would be willing to give my jimmy a ride up? :haha: im in hampton roads in virginia .. Chesapeake, VA

I may just have to go up with MuddyBuddy, Dont know if hes got a trailer, Or perhaps we could ride up in the stock Z71 and hitch a ride? Ill have to catch him on AIM.
I was fairly certain i would be able to get up there and go on the trails, but i never thought about getting back. Yes, I am a n00b.

Ill do some thinking and asking and ill update on whats going on

You will be fine. Just use your head and don't drive stupid. My daily driver on 10 bolts and 33's survived blues a few times with no problems and I was not easy on it. Friend of mine ran half tons with 35's and a Detroit in the back and he drove stupid and never broke.

Lol, Uhauls pissy trailers only hold half my truck. I would probably get in big trouble, Plus would the damn thing even hold 35s? Never liked them dollies.. Ill just have to check with my uncle to see if any of his coworkers trailers will support it.

Edit - And the towing vehicle must weigh 750 pounds more then the vehicle being towed.. Not going to happen! 1998 stock K1500 extended cab shortbed Z71.

I tow my K5 on a 20Ft skid steer trailer behind an 05 Dodge Rumble Bee 4x4 1500 std cab shortbed, with trailer brakes. Thats a fun ride:doah: I go to Paragon alot it's about a 200 mile trip...Just gotta take your time:pimp:

I've been in touch with GM and a marketing company they work with to see about the feasibility of a 40th anniversary national reunion.

2 thoughts: 1. Central US (it'd be nice to have mud nearby)
2. At the plant where the 1st was built (again, it'd be nice to have mud nearby!)

I'll be posting my progress with this. If any of you have thoughts or input please contact me.

No not yet . Just now getting my truck up and running again , and working the bugs out [braking things] . 20 trucks and over a year to go , sounds like it's going to be big.

Here is what they emailed me about their trip.

Yes they are all green. We had a stock truck with little tires so we took it easy on him. There will be more pics coming. Shannon's computer is down so she's gonna bring her digi down on 4th of July and we're gonna load her pics and video on my computer then. And Frank took pics but it'll be a couple days. We didn't have any major carnage. Mine and the hubby's are DD, so I try to keep the major carnage to the minimum. We did have to beat my back bumper down so we could open the hatch again. Ooops! dang rocks. Shannon has great pics of me stuck. I also smacked a front fender but it was nice enough to pop right back out on it's own.:) We skipped some of the major hills since it was so wet.

We ran A, F, C, B, pole line, J, 10c, 11b, 11, 19a, 14, K, and L3. A couple of hi-lift assists and tow rope assists. No major damage to any and all running fine. We had a Great time like we always do at RC. :D The rain waited till we were in bed and it was dry during the day. Trails were definitely muddier than usual :banana_sml: and slipperier than usual. :hollering:
Sorry rafartist, we came home since it was so foggy and raining this morning. Maybe next time.:)
Pics should be up by tonight. Hoping to have the video up in the next week, nothing fancy. One of the bunch just got a new digi.
