Ok everybody im gonna mount the 4x4 shifter and i need some pics of the location. Does it have 2 be in the perfect spot or can it be off by a lil bit? im gonna make my own rods to go from there to the transfer case.

I should have taken measurements and pics of my last truck before i junked it haha.

thanks
brad

what's wrong with the stock t-case shift location? are you adding gear boxes, or are you converting a 2wd truck? anyway, here's a pic of my stock 208 location.

You might want to go get a 4x4 center cover, it will already have the hole and mounting tabs:D

plus im not sure on subs but pickups.. the hump is smaller... lower profile on the 2wd and doesnt unbolt... I had to jigsaw mine out as I put a 2wd cab on.. and bolt my 4wd hump on

i wish i knew how to describe this more clearly, but perhaps you could draw a right triangle where the base of the triangle is the linear distance from where the shift lever goes into the t-case, and the leg perpendicular to the base is a representation of where the shift lever sits in 4lo. then you would know the distance from the t-case where you should start cutting. then remeasure this length at the 2wd setting, and you'll know how far to cut. just .02

i read that three times and I now feel dumber than when I started. :doah:
