I need a 77-79 pickup cab (possibly other years too if I find they are 100% interchangeable) .... I really want one that has not been painted and is not rusted out.. SOME rust is acceptable, the less work I have to do, the better. I just need the sheetmetal, as it will be stripped, powder blasted, sealed, and painted then I will transfer my stuff over.. Oh the other thing, it has to be an A/C truck..

im willing to pay good money for a good one

We got all you want here for $200 or less. Make the trip to Illinois with that rear driveshaft I want so bad and I'll trade ya. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

I have a bare shell, straight, and rust free cab in Central Oregon for $75 with a clean title. It is from a 1977 Chevy 1/2 ton 2wd. I can see about meeting you near the Oregon/CA boarder but transfering from one vehicle to another would be a PITA. So you could rent a Uhaul trailer one way and have me load it on that and you pay the rental and gas... Sound good?

Here's some pics of a '78 cab. The guy said he'd sell it for $200 I think...I know it was no more than that, I just can't remember what he said.....Might have even been $100...
5 pictures here...

Kenny, and Kidjethro: thanks for the pics, especially you Kenny since you went thru all that trouble to take a develop and scan them... Both the cabs you guys have shown me are xlnt candidates BUT they are heater-only cabs!!!!!! argh!! any ideas?

Do you have ac now? Doesnt it bolt on? I dont think the factory made 2 different cabs just to have the option of AC. I also have a complete 1973 Chevy with AC. If the deal I am working on falls thru on it I will be parting it out.

the firewalls are different and im suspecting that the stuff behind the firewall (dash innards) are different too.
