Started to look for a cover for my Blazer now that winter is fast approaching. Currently I have to store it outside and always have the top off ('90 model, so half cab style) and have the doors off from spring until fall.

Main concern is keeping rain and snow out of the open interior (year round, but winter is just motivating me more). I could care less about the paint as it's rattle can with lot's of dents. Tired of having water and snow on the seats, including during overnight off-road trips.

I do have the "family cage" in the back so even though the top isn't there the cage is close to the same lines.

A tarp is pain because it's not fitted and doesn't look very good (I live in a subdivision so what it looks like is at least a small concern....no bright blue tarps!).

So any suggestions for types/brands of covers are welcome. Again, main priority is to keep rain and snow off of it (mainly out of the interior) and relatively easy to install. Wouldn't mind being able to keep it on while hauling it on the trailer down the freeway if it's raining.

How about how it's secured? Don't mind using bungees or other straps to hold it more secure, and my aunt can do slight modifications to a cover if needed.

What I have looked at so far:

Covers and tarps will only sag under the weight of pooling water/snow without a roof there to support it. It will eventually leak into the interior as well.

I take it a top will no longer fit? Even setting a top on the back and then covering it will make a big difference as the water will run off before it is given the chance to pool.

The bedsides are pretty well trashed, so it would take quite a bit of work to make a factory top fit and with no tailgate/rear glass the diesel fumes are horrid with a top on it.....plus it would be a pain in the butt to take it on and off everytime I wanted to drive it.

The cage should give the top some support, and I can either add/modify the cage to help prevent the pooling, or even add a simple wood frame.

$180 for the cheapo car port things that costco sells.. they work decent and should last 2-3 years depending on the weather.
