! I probably should have bought a rust free tub (I can hear you laughing) but I did'nt realize how bad it was until I started to cut some of it out.

I've replaced both my doors, my tailgate, both front fenders, and half the front floors were gone. Sounds not too bad so far but I still have to replace my rear floor and the entire box sides. So whats left of the truck the I bought? Frame and VIN, and with my luck the VIN has rust on it too

!
At least it will all be worth it when I'm done, all those rice boys have to show for the money they spent is a peice of crap with stickers, I'll have a good looking K5 (nuff said)
Don't give up!

Don't let the rust get you down. All it means is that you bought something made of REAL STEEL! Besides, getting rid of rust is like a writ of passage. I do recommend you order the Eastwood catalog. You need to get your hands on the right supplies, because nothing is worse than getting rid of rust only to have it reappear on your new paint job. Also use a sealer before your primer, primer is NOT a line of defense against rust. And coat all nooks and crannies with ruberized undercoating. This way if water pools up, it won't get to the metal. Good luck.

hehe Click on my page link. Some good rust pictures there. can we say Fred Flinstone Special?
everything to the tranny tunnel had to be cut out.
