The 'C' type go with the tall adapter. I got regular rubber ones from the parts store for cheap.

I dont honestly know the difference between tall and short but this is the one i got.
It just has 2 bolts going up

Tall adaptors fit the flat crossmembers up to '84.
Short adaptors are the '85 to '91 pieces that fit the W-shaped crossmembers.

This is out of an 84 suburban so i guess it would be the tall one.
