So, just what jeep is it that you are towing with??? I think you are focking crazy to tow a K5 with any jeep. I have towed my K5 fully loaded with my F250 with the 5.4 triton V8 and it tows very well but I don't think I'd try it with my Bosses newer F150 even though it has the same motor. REMEMBER, it doesn't matter how careful and safe you are, you have to worry about 400 miles of other idiots on the road that drive like chit and will cut you off stop at signs and lights quicker than you expected, etc. If an accident does occur, no matter who was initially at fault, any cop worth his salt will first look at the overloaded tow vehicle and you will be to blame. Essentially you are puttiing many peoples lives at risk for being too cheap to do it the right way. Save yourself potential jail time and do it right even if it costs a bit more money, your future is worth it. Just my $.02.
