I've searched through the body mount threads, but can't find a good how to thread with pictures. Is there one out there? I'd really like to see how the body is supported while replacing the mounts.

Also, is there a source for OEM rubber mounts? Not the LMC rubber but NOS?

There really ins't anything to it.

1. Loosen all bolts about 1/2 way.
2. Pick a side and find a good spot along the body brace to jack it up.
3. Replace body mounts, lower jack, tighten bolts about 1/2 way. Repeat for other side. When they are all replaced and the jack is removed go back and tighten all the bolts.

Basically what he said, I did the front core support together, then the next two back and then last two. I jacked up the cab, and then used a 2x4 to put btwn the cab and frame. Heres a few picks of the core support mounts.

One of these days i'll get around to installing my new urethane body mounts. I've only had them for over a year now sitting under my tool box in the garage. :o

definitely just do one side at a time.just jack up between the body and frame after loosening all the bolts at least half way.then do one mount at a time starting from the front.a couple of mine were rotted through the body so i had to air hammer them though from the back side to loosn them up.i would suggest replacing the hardware while you are doing this as opposed to just replacing the rubber themselves.then after you get them all replaced, drop it down on the mounts and make sure the body sits square on them and then torque them all down tight.i used polyurethane ones from lmc iirc.only 100 bucks.they will ride better than the stock rubber ones and last longer.there is only like a 20 dollar price difference also over the stock rubber ones.either way you go,lmc was a good price and everything fit good.if you get the full kit it comes with new hardware.

MAKE sure you soak the bolts with WD40 or something the night before you do the job.
If you can pull the carpet up or can access the floor pan I always drill small holes in the floor, so I can spray the cab bolts.
The core support (2) and back bolts (4) go from top to bottom through the body.
The cab bolts go from bottom up, into factory winged nuts. The experience I've had is the nut is always rusted and breaks the wing off and ends up spinning in the body.
Then you have to cut a lot bigger holes in the floor board to get the bolts out.

Figure out where the bolts are and drill small holes (enough to fit the little plastic hose from a wd40 can) and soak the crap out of them.

Good luck and have fun, thats what its all about.
