Got a 76 blazer with a 350 running dual's 2 1/2 with new 40 series flowmasters with not cats with a x pipe. I need to get this thin leagal and I am running high on CO and HC. Need recommandations to solve this problem. I am getting tired of farting around with this problem. Looking for a good shop that can help me pass or an individual that can swing by and give me a hand and we can work out something for payment or trade. I am hoping to get it legal this month.

Not sure if I need to rework the exhuast to pass or nopt. I only have about 200 miles on the new exhaust system. The guy that did the work said I didnt need cats. Now I am wishing I went 3" single with a cat.
PLEASE HELP.........

can't say i know much about how to pass smog, but i'm willing to lend a hand at wrenching if you need it.

No you don't need a cat for that yr. ONLY if it came with a cat from the factory do you need one. Can't much help ya on shops up in that area, i'm down here south of oregon city.

thanks for the help. I wasnt for sure about the cat. I guess I need to do some more searching to get smog tips. Thanks

I thought if they were over 30 years old that they didn't have to have emissions. May be just in COLORADO.

In Oregon, its ANYTHING from 1975 to current has to be smogged.

fwiw, there was a long post recently with lots of tips on passing smog. try searching for that thread - tons of tips!

When did they change from the rolling 20 year sys.??? I have not I&Med in soooo looong I didnt know they changed it:p:
I use my home addres as a "mailing" add. and I use an out of the limits addres as my "phisical addres" That way I still get all my mail from DMV at home, but I dont have to go through I&M with any of it.:wink1:

I thought I was going to be in the clear when I purchased it - didnt realize it was a fixed year instead of a floating point.
