Hey, does anyone out there have a pic or can snap a pic of their factory roll bar? A friend just gave me a single tube bar and I'm not even sure if it is for our trucks. Can anyone help shed some light for me? Heck, I'm not even sure where it's supposed to mount :dunno:

Thanks
Brent

i have a roll bar on the back of my k5. it was there when i bought it. i have no idea if it was factory or not, but it's kind of nice to have. limits body flex some, for one thing. it bolts to the floor and to the wheelwells.

There are two factory bars that fit the 70's rigs . Both go by the backseat . And I have seen one rear bar that goes by the tailgate that fits 70's and 80's rigs .

I have a 70's bar sleeved to be taller and fit the 80's .

Thats what mine looked likein my 75' K-5. It Fits in front of the rear bench seat, those tabs on the side bolt to the quarter panels. I'd show you but,its long since been changed out.

Yea that it.......... sorry but, I'm in SO.CAL so I don't see a lot of that rotting stuff.:dunno:

Officially requesting more complete pics of the car. :wink1:

Car is in pieces at the moment. I am going through the motor and making several upgrades to the rest of the car while I'm at it. I hope to have it done by spring....

Yeah, it's a pump gas 377 with ported AFR's that has gone 11.3x's (old combo). I got a new custom ground cam from Isky, a Pro Systems Holley carb and started on install of a new fuel system. After all is dialed in, I'm hoping to break into the 10's.

P.S. Thanks for the compliment!

That Thing Is Beautiful

Wow, thanks guys :thumb:

That there is the factory '74-75 front bar. Won't fit '78+ without mods to the rear diagonals, and doesn't fit well in the rear of the truck (AMHIK! :D )

That's kind of what I was thinking. I thought I remembered the '78+ bars having the foot on the diagonal bar, mounting to the wheel well.
