This is the wifes Suburban which we just did a 6" Rough Country lift on (will never buy from them again..rough ride and crappy instructions)

( You can see the truck in my album..since I cant link to it until I have 15 posts )

She wants this to have the BIG truck look but we need to stay practical as well. The lift is designed for 35x12.5 but with a little work I think we can squeeze 38x15.5 under there..maybe with just some cut out fender flares?

Anways, my main question is what size wheels will fit and with what size backspacing?

I would look into a 37 inch bfg or other brand. The new mr16 are kind of cool bullets around outside edge. Iroks work nice onroad and well offroad also. For a street truck look into all terains unless you have to have the look.Remember the bigger the tire the bigger the problems and cost, ride quality, balance issues so on.
Wheels any back spacing should work just depends how far out you want them to stick. I have 17x9 procomps wheels they only have one back spacing 5 inches if i remember right. Most run in the 3 to 2.5 range mine tuck in side the wheel wells with 42 14.50.

I got a good deal on some 17x9 which have 4.5" BS. For now I am just going to run some 35x12.5 and if she wants bigger we'll do that next time around.

definitely needs some bigger meats now.

I would do a baja claw if she wants a nice looking tire. They last a long time on the road. Depends on what she is wanting though and what you want to spend

Yes..decided to just go 35x12.5 for now and see how they look. We can go bigger next time around.

35s will look good, the burb in my sig has 35's and a 4" lift.. and I think a 6" would've been perfect, especially in the rear.

35's are a good choice for a couple of reasons. As noted earlier, you have fewer ride and balancing issues with them. Another reason is cost AND variety. There are a LOT of companies that make a 35. You step up to 36+ and the options narrow considerably and get much more expensive, especially in radials...which is probably what you want unless you intend the 'burb to spend lots of time in the rocks.

I was going to get the trxus STS but unded up getting the new goodyear MT/R instead. I will post a updated pic once they are installed.

What wheels did you decide to go with? I run 15X10 Eaton black steel wheels with 3.75" backspacing with my 35X12.50 BFGs and they don't stick out too far.

Here is how it turned out.

17x9 Ion Alloy style 33
35x12.5 Goodyear wrangler MT/R

Somebody will have to link the pic out of my album.. If you have to pay $25 to post then why do you have to wait until 15 posts to link a pic?? sheesh

Looks beautiful. Love the soccer mom stickers on the window too. I'll bet it causes a lot of fanfare when you pull up to the schoolhouse to pick up the kiddies. It will probably hold a lot of groceries too.:wink1:
