This is the first time i am posting on the website, but im on here all the time. I am putting a 355 TPI into my 82 blazer. I have the orginal gas tank that came with the blazer, and one out of a tpi camaro. I was goin to swap the internals from the camaro to the blazer tank, but now i thinking otherwise. My question is will a gas tank from a fuel injected blazer work with the tpi. i want the the internal baffle in the tank so that the pump wont starve when on hills. So are the internals the same on f.i. blazers as they were on camaro tanks. Any help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Not the same I'm sure, but similar yes.

Buy an FI truck tank aftermarket, and you will get metal "baffles", not plastic. Stock truck tanks are pretty much garbage when it comes to the baffles.

You won't be able to swap internals without cutting the tanks in half, not worth the $130 or so a new K5 FI tank costs.

The Camaro pump WILL work with an FI truck sending unit however.

so then i should just buy a aftermarket FI blazer/k10 tank?

Note that a Blazer tank is NOT the same as a K-10 *pickup* tank -- the pickups had the side tanks, versus the rear center tank of the Blazer.

Just being nitpicky, but hate to have you end up with the wrong thing :)

us a FI k-5 tank becasue it has the baffles, use the K-5 FI sending unit and put the TPI pump in the K-5 sending unit
