Well it turns out I need to get my :poo: prioritized and focus on more critical drive train/suspension parts. Before I start getting carried away with longer leafs and shackles, moving the axles around, and playing with lift, etc etc etc, I need to focus on one BIG factor that has omnipotent authority over any suspension mods; the drive lines. I'm so nit picky about what the slightest tweaks will do to my drive line angles, I find myself :zombie15: ,constantly chasing all the loose ends so that the installation will go smoothly without the slightest problem!

I figure do it right the first time, I DD a 91 K5 with a 4" lift/shackle flip rear, I had to lower the T case an inch to cancel out my drive line vibes. So what would you guys recommend for double cardan drive lines? I plan on getting a SYE 'flange style' kit to go with the drive shaft. Who did you order yours from? What were the processes in getting the right parts? What other key factors do I need to consider? And as usual, what kind of financial $$$$ devastation should I expect?

I really think this is the correct way to go, after a conclusion is made I will drop the cash to get things done right so I can progress with my 'snails pace' build.

Thanks for your input in advance!:thumb:

Call these guys if you want something that you dont need to source parts for : http://www.4xshaft.com/

I bought my SYE kit, CV driveshaft and flange from Jesse at High Angle Driveline and it was close to $900.00 for everything. Keep in mind that you DON'T want to order the driveshaft until you have whatever lift and axles installed so you can measure properly for driveshaft length.

With the telescoping CV is it possible to deviate 2" vehicle height wise? I don't plan on going over 6" of lift. Is it all a bolt on procedure? No drilling and tapping, or removal of the transfer case?

...probably wouldn't hurt to get a few quotes, there's a drivetrain shop here in town that is somewhat reasonable...at least I have a ball park idea for cost, thanks 4X4HIGH:waytogo:

There is not enough slip in the Yoke to allow for a 2" difference in vehicle height. You need to measure AFTER the lift and axles are swapped.

There is no drilling and tapping involved and you don't have to remove the t-case BUT you do have to take the case apart in order to swap the rear output shaft for the SYE shaft and having the t-case on a work bench is ALOT easier than trying to do it in the rig.
