I couldn't find a web marking, or a BOM number, I know its there, just under the rusty surface of the tube. For a rear axle is it facing the rear of the vehicle or the front? Pass side or Drivers?

....it does has 4" tubes slightly necked down towards the spindle end.

Are you still trying to identify your axle? If so, the BOM number will be on the rear of the pass side axle around the area where the u-bolts are. If you find it (assuming it's readable) go to www2.dana.com/expert and you should be able to decipher the code.

76zimmer's post looks out of context, is that actually a pic of yours with your text?

Btw, the BOM # will look like "605203-2" (this example number is from a 83 D70HD).

Yea I looked there but it looks like somebody ground off them off. I didn't know the guy I bought the truck from. I'm wondering where he got the rear end from now.

That's something he sent me but it looks like mine.

If you're just looking to get parts for it, a 73-87(91) Chevy dually (pick up, NOT cab & chassis) will work as they all had a D70HD. My 70HD is a junk yard axle so I have no info about it so I always use a friends old truck for an application - '83 K30 4wd dually 3+3 pick up.

Nice pics dropping lots cash on all those toys I like that building I'm on the drive way with mine now got transfer case out rear end out waiting on ord to send me that magnum box.

Too much money. :doah:I'm still getting used to the building, it doesn't seem right not working on it in the driveway. :dunno:

I'm going to take it to off road connection let them fix they've got all tools done get quicker only 175.00 labor

Not a bad deal at all for setting it up.

Post up some pics of that thing. :thumb:
