Need help with a speedi sleeve. * found it -part # included*

Re: Need help with a speedi sleeve.

No, it doesn't need to be machined. The sleeves are very thin.

Re: Need help with a speedi sleeve.

14 bolts are a dime a dozen in the boneyards around here. Maybe you can find a clean used one in your area.

Re: Need help with a speedi sleeve.

Actually they're hard to find around here because they crush the older vehicles. If you do find one , they will only sell the whole axle assembly. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Re: Need help with a speedi sleeve.

If I had an extra one I'd send it to you for the cost of shipping. Post up a want ad up here for a yoke.

I had an extra one, but the one that was on my truck had a broken locating tab so that is the only one I have left. You don't want that.

Re: Need help with a speedi sleeve.

Finally found a part # and supplier for the 14 bolt FF yoke.
The part # is 99218 it is a Chicago Rawhide (CR) sleeve.

The supplier is Standard Bearing in Mason City, IA I don't think they have a website, but here is their phone # if anyone ever needs it: 641-424-9250 price was $33.00 I also ordered the sleeves for the spindles; Chicago Rawhide #99282 They were $37.00 from Standard Bearing, NAPA,and Carquest want $47.00 and $49.00 for those. I will post this info in the part #'s post as well. Thanks to those who helped out with this. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Re: Need help with a speedi sleeve.

Brand name on bearings and seals are industry wide. In fact, those part numbers are available through my parts system in BCA/National oil seal brands. Not sure on the prices.

I think I can do quite a bit better than that. I'll find out tomorrow for you.
