HAHAHA... ok ... when you go to General Discussion and look at the newest post in the Garage, it shows "need help with getting hard..." Just thought I'd let you know! :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :p:

You can't slide the roof off my 78. There is dowels in the back corners. Might have something to do with your troubles. I have to lift it over them. Grind them off once you get the roof off. :D

2 bolts from underneath in rear. Do not grind dowels, It is easier to put back on with them.

You can throw away those rear bolts though...I never used them again. Just my preference tho, I hate sitting there and wrenching on the hardtop, maybe if I had air tools it wouldn't be so bad...

last time i had the top off, it was me and 1 guy, we had it off in about 4 mins start to finish with air. putting it back on was about 2 mins. air-rachets make a huge different when your sitting in the back of a k5 in 100 degree weather sweating your arse off.

I also left my two extra bolts out of my 89 jimmy with no problems. I had to wedge a sawzall between the top and the body of my 77 to get 3 of the bolts out though :D :burb:
