Need help with value, please?

This build stalled out with life and things. I got it about 90% of the way just needs to be finished. I have a Jimmy that I will keep, anyway here we go.

1983 Blazer Pros:

1. Straight body, no rust. (Very arid here).​
2. Dash has not been hacked up.​
3. New 350 crate, never been fired (about ten years old). Has been rotated periodically, zinc has already been added.​
4. All factory components are there including A/C items.​
5. Older aftermarket head unit, with amp and sub (stereo shop installed).​
6. New duel exhaust before it was parked for engine swap.​

1983 Blazer Cons:

1. Been repainted, PO did not have jams or dash painted. Horrible clear coat job (peeling off).
2. Tires need to be replaced, although they do hold air.
3. Been sitting awhile so don't know condition of brakes.
4. Old fuel in tank that will have to be drained.
5. Driver seat cover needs replaced (tore a little from getting in and out).

This is an older image, I will get new ones up soon as the weather gets better. Is $3500.00 a good staring point?

At 3500 I don't think you will have it long. Even thou its a project looks like a good solid staring point. Hell the new 350 crate engine is worth close to that.

Just my opinion....

Todays square body market is crazy and $$$. That's a really nice looking truck, I'd spend a little time to get it running and double that price - with the average selling price being $10+ you'd still be "cheap".

Very good point but after all the wrenching the wife and I did on the Jimmy I just can't get motivated. Of course getting older doesn't help either. Priorities change unfortunately.

Agreed with all the other Brothers - you are leaving money on the table !
When I was in the market for a K-5 the pricing was three times that and all of them had minor to more serious rust issues - if I would have seen a set up like yours I would have driven straight to ya’ with cash in hand.
Ask $8,500 and settle for $7,500 or whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Forgot it wasn’t drivable - what KENNYW said is about right for a clean square that can’t be driven.

Bro, start at $6,000 with $6,500 on the high end but be willing to accept $5k. if you start at $5,000, you're not getting $5,000. You'll end up with $3,500 maybe $4,000. Start a tad higher than what seems comfortable, if nobody bites step it down $500.

These trucks are hot and if it's not going to a CK5er then get as much as you can.
