I've got seats from an 02 Silverado hat I'm trying to put in my 91 Suburban. I took the passenger seat and console out and was test fitting 02 seat. It sits about 3-4 inches higher than the factory seat. My head is rubbing the headliner. I've read a lot about these swaps and never ran into anyone saying their seats are that high. I've also got a set of power seats that may power lower, but I'd rather use the manual ones. What am I doing wrong/missing. Thanks.

I wish I could help I'm doing the same swap in a couple weeks. But in a Blazer. Flat floor is nice

It would be a perfect fit with a flat floor. Good luck with your swap.

Had any luck with your seat install height issue? I'm curious to see how you get yours done before I attempt mine.

I'm going to pull the tracks off of seats this weekend and see if old tracks suburban tracks will lower Silverado seats any. I can fab up brackets to align bolt holes if they lower seats enough. Otherwise, I'll sell Silverado seats and grab some seats out of a Cruze. I liked those in the one I had

Update on seat install. The 99-06 Silverado seats I have aren't going to fit. They are too tall and I didn't want to cut them up. I'm gonna throw both sets on CL and scour a couple of local salvage yards for something that'll fit as far as height is concerned. I'll update when I find something that I can make fit.

I'm curious to see what you come up with.
I'll definitely let you know what I figure out. I can't find much online for humpy floored Suburbans. I'm going to pull passenger seat out and hit a couple junk yards. Hopefully they will let me test fit and eyeball before I buy anything. Otherwise, I'll be tape measure fitting

I got a plan(famous last words right there). I spent about 4 hours walking around 2 different junk yards Monday and I think these will work. They are from a Chevy Cruze. I sat in 09-12 Malibu and 07-13 Impala seats and they also seemed like they could work. I picked the Cruze seats because they have a lever that raises and lowers the seats several inches and I work at the plant that makes the Cruze. Looks like a pretty easy install. I'll have to fab up a bracket for one corner, but I was going to have to do that with anything. May try install this weekend if it warms up a little. Here's a couple pics of one just sitting in place..

Got the Cruze seats loosely installed today. I had to make a bracket for each inside front corner and use spacers in the rear to level things out. It was a pretty straight forward install. I may start fitting the console tomorrow if weather permits

I'm pleased with the outcome. They slide way further back than the factory seats. The manual height adjusters are great too. I used 1 1/2x 1/4 flat stock to make brackets and all grade 8 hardware with nylon lock nuts.
