Need pic's of a K5 with 38.5x15", 37" or 35" bogger's???

Need pic\'s of a K5 with 38.5x15\", 37\" or 35\" bogger\'s???

I really need a picture of a K5 running those bogger's. I just want to see and hear from someone how they perform off road and what size of the tire it actually is on a full size rig and what rim they use???

They're about 36" tall. If you have a D60 and want good sized boggers, I'd suggest the 39.5s.

This is seventyK5's Jimmy. These are about 37" tall on a 16.5x9.75 rim. I'm sure he'll post up when he see's this.

Thanks for the pic's. Those really look small, almost like my 35x12.50's. It could be the rim size that makes them look like that though.

I just want to find a medium between the 39.5's and the 35" boggers and I guess the 38.5" bogger is them. So I guess I'll be getting some when the next pay day comes around.

I don't see anything in your sig and nothing in your profile....what do you have? Do you have the power, lift, and the drivetrain to support 39.5's? That is the size I would run. I also wouldn't rule out the 35x16 if the 39.5 is too large and don't like the 38.5. The 35x16 is taller than the 35x14.50, is wider than the 38.5x15.50, and has the same tread depth and huge lugs as the 39.5.

1990 Chevy /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif with a 350TBI, recently rebuilt 700r4, np241, dana 60 up front that's open and a 14 bolt with a detroit. Right now I have 35" bfg mud terrians. oh ya the only thing that sucks is the 4.10's which I will be going to 5:13's or 4.88's when I get the money. Would you recommend the 37x13" bogger over the 38.5x15"? I don't know what it is about the 38.5x15" boggers but the tread looks like a normal mud tire nothing really special. I dunno it could be the picture though. So would you say the look at getting the 35x16" or 37x13" /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It depends on what you want. I like my 35x16's because they match my engine's power well and I don't have a frontD60 that hangs down, just the 14BFF so I hve a little less mud to push. I also like wide tires because I have 16.5x14 welds.

Are you looking for heigth or width? With the 39.5 you will get both. The 37x13 is fairly tall but skinny. I think the 38.5 just a hair taller but a little wider....but still not as wide as the 35x16.

The green jimmy (mine) Has 38.5x15x16.5 boggers which measure out to 37.4x14.3x16.5 on a 16.5x9.75 rim. I will be running a 37x13x17 on a 17x9 rim. With 6 inches a lift plan on trimming with 38.5's. I will be dropping to 37's which measure 36.3 and adding about another inch of lift.

JK5 is/was running the 38.5x15 Boggers on his K5 and I saw them in person. The tread looked like the usual Bogger pattern (big and mean), and they appeared to be very similiar in height as my 13/38-16 TSL's. My 13/38's measure small for a 38, but I know they are a LOT bigger than the 35x12.50 MT/R's I had before. I had the fenders trimmed for absolutely no tire rub on the trail with the swaybar unhooked, yet couldn't even turn the wheels on flat ground without hitting the fenders after installing the TSL's.

Cool deal, I just wanted to make for sure the tread was as big and mean as all the other bogger's before I spent the money on um. Tim said the 38.5x15" bogger's measured 36"'s tall. Hmmm 37.4" and 36"'s is a difference. I guess I'll go with the 38.5x15" bogger's then. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
